In an area I walk the wee little doggie in most days I’ve seen a number of Killdeer. They’re ground nesters and when we’re in the area they’ve nested in they do displays to distract from the nest. Not that we’d do anything, but they are birds and do not know they are safe with us. Today I happened to notice a pair of eggs in a depression in the bark mulch around a tree. It was hard to tell the eggs from the background so I did a bit of editing in Snapseed and then went to Pop-o-Graph and masked the eggs and then changed the background colors so the eggs would pop out. The birds stayed away for the few moments it took me to get this capture. Wonder when the baby birds will hatch?
