My roommate suggested I write an ebook on how I manipulate my photos to achieve the end result. I’m not sure how to do that or if there would be a market, but I thought I could give a tutorial.
I forgot to save a part-way step or two. Oops. Sorry.
I opened the photo in Snapseed and first cropped the photo to include the fountain on the right and the bench and edge of pond on the left.
Then I used Details/Structure about 76%.
Finally, I applied Center Focus using the Old Lens filter. I placed the focus on the bench, using the small circle and lightened the inner brightness while decreasing the outer brightness while not obliterating the fountain. I blurred to about 30% and then saved.
Here is another view. I cropped it down further and used Details/Structure to 100% and it seems to come out quite nicely with the fountain framed by the tree.
Or you could use Be Funky and add Orton to make it seem sort of other worldly. Apparently I forgot to save that one. (laughing at self) It’s late and I’m kinda tired. That explains it all, yes?
